I was intrigued by iconic design of the Jordans 45 High sneaker and by the excess of elements decorating the shoe. I often play with the viewers’ perception in my artwork, so I decided to abstractify the sneaker to a degree by applying bright, contrasting colours to different areas.
The idea was to turn the sneaker into an assemblage of “independent” shapes. I released it as an art print. The next step was to dissect the sneaker according to these individual shapes. I made a few prototypes using 3D printing and eventually used it to create the moulds.
It’s a limited edition of 30 puzzles. Each is made of 19 handmade resin pieces and are available on my online shop.

Share on FacebookI found it aesthetically pleasing. When they start selling them for wear, let me know.... I'll be in line!
I think you could market this puzzle as an educational toy. Youngsters are into "hip & cool" sneakers nowadays - what better way to get their brains working in solving this puzzle?
I'm an artist so only made a small handmade edition but happy to collaborate with toy makers
Load More Replies...Damn, this is impressive on so many levels! It'd be a fun toy (+ intellectual challenge) for kids but would also just look rad on coffee tables. I could see you selling a lot more than 30 of these if you can figure out mass production.
