I Like The Idea Behind The Traditional Emery Sand Filled Strawberry Pincushion And Created These Beautiful Emery Pincushions

Do you remember traditional tomato sewing pin cushion which comes with a strawberry? Strawberry actually filled with abrasive emery sand to keep needles clean and sharp.

So I wanted to design a new Emery Pincushion. I wanted to make a bigger size Emery Pincushion which will be most elegant and beautiful, not jump around when you sew, will keep needles clean and sharp and can be use as a decorative object when not used.

So I decide use velvet and rhinestones. I use another inner liner to fill Emery so it doesn’t leak from the needle holes. The big size has 1 lb Emery inside while the small one has only 3.4 oz. They’re still the heaviest pincushions.
