I Have Started A Webcomic Based On ‘Red Riding Hood’ Called ‘Red’

Red Riding Hood has a personal significance for me. I have always loved fairy tales and I clearly remember my Gran telling me the story when I was a young child. At university I studied performance art and easily my best performance was a simple storytelling of Red Riding Hood. In later life I became an illustrator, but I always wanted to get into comic art. Last year, after hitting age 40, I decided that I wasn’t going to wait around any longer and so I began to produce a comic based on my favourite fairytale character. I hope you enjoy! As a kid Jon used to draw cartoon characters of his teachers and pass them around in class, causing mild hilarity amongst his friends and long detentions for Jon himself. As he continued on into adult life, he couldn’t seem to stop.
Jon eventually became a freelance illustrator, working on a wide variety of projects from computer games to children’s books. His images are bold and appealing with a large nod to classic cartoon and comic characters.
