Dragons, Unicorns, Mermaid Unicorns and now Pegasus, each pattern takes me months to write, perfect, test and publish. The final creatures are made with Yarn, Polyfil Stuffing, Safety eyes, and a few wires. I play with yarn today the way I used to play with Lego as a child. It is incredibly satisfying to give shape and depth to magical creatures. It’s even more exciting to put the patterns out into the world and then see what other people make from them. Who doesn’t want to hug a Dragon?

Pegasus

Writing the Pegasus Pattern took 3 months and the pattern is 200 pages long. The crochet-work creates all the shapes! Crochet is basically tying different knots, so this Pegasus is made entirely from different knots!

Newborn Baby Dragon

The Juvenile Dragon was originally supposed to be a Baby dragon, but I knew I could make a more convincing infant dragon — and so the Newborn Dragon was born! It took me 3 months to write this pattern, and there are a ton of options for front and rear legs and positioning! It’s an easier pattern than many others, and it works up very quickly. The newborn dragons can fit in the palm of your hand.
