If you’re bored in COVID-19 land, a new drawing app and some Pinterest inspiration (aka reuploaded TikToks) can do wonders. I’m already an artist but I’ve been using a horrid animating app to draw for a while, so after downloading IbisPaint x, here’s what I’ve drawn in a few days :)

Mountain’s Mirror

A mountain, reflecting in a lake, with an artsy tie-dye sunset ;D I like getting creative and slightly unrealistic with pretty skies, so you’ll be seeing a lot of skies like this, hehe. Overall this is a simple landscape drawing that took me two hours.

Swirling Planet

Again, I’m an ~artsy-fartsy~ artist. Or, at least, none of my hyper realistic drawings are being displayed here. So, I present to you a swirly rainbow planet with a sprinkling of stars :)

Cardboard Hills

This drawing is a reworked version of an earlier drawing that was inspired by Pinterest. I decided to go for a paper cutout look—again, not realistic, but interesting to the eye :) And, of course, we’ve got more of those tie-dye skies ;D

Drowning in Darkness

I ventured into a different style here, manipulating text and blurring blurs different amounts to make a cool sort of visual representation of the stuff I’m sure a lot of us are floundering in right now. I also added shadowing outlines and ink splotches; this whole thing took me around 20 minutes, but I think it was worth it :)

Pastel Hills

A huge pivot from the anxiety drawing, this sketch is just simple, cheerful, aesthetic patterned hills with rainbows, a perfect sun, and swirly cotton-candy skies—the whole chill pastel package. This was a quick, careless drawing but I like the pretty simplicity.
