For my master thesis, I performed an investigation of the canons of beauty and the human body throughout history.

At the end of the research, it became obvious to me that the body has never broken its tight relationship with these canons. The human figure has always been inscribed within grids and limited by mathematical, philosophical, or fashion rules. Even in the very present, the body keeps following canons, now known as trends, that define and control how the body suppose to look like.

So, for my practical project, I gave simple objects to different people and told them that these objects represent the current beauty standards. I gave them just one direction: Do whatever you want with it; embrace it, hate it, use it or not, depends on you.

Then I took photos of their behavior toward the objects. These are the results.
