My father like other New Mexico natives is very superstitious. Whenever the family was going on a road trip to Grandma’s house, my father would always tell us supernatural stories while we drove through the vast desert landscape.

The long 8 hour drive through the southwest was filled with my father telling his children stories of witches, bigfoot and aliens. This obsession and belief of super natural creatures occupied my imagination as a child. I took these photographs to re-create some of favorite my childhood fantasies.
