I Create Unique Photography Portraits In Lightpainting (No Photoshop)
Hello everyone, my name is Elliott Katane, I’m a french photographer based in Montreal. I’ve always been interested in getting off the beaten tracks pretty much for anything; photography is no exception.
That’s how I got in touch with the lightpainting technique. Basically it’s a long exposure shot in a dark room. No photoshop is involved.
These images may be interpreted in many ways. For me, this is sort of how I see the world. Maybe it is the representation of a particular mind filter that I get to wear all the time.
Maybe it is a way to put in evidence what a different perspective means. We all see things one way, or another. I’m sure you will have your own interpretation through those images. Maybe you will see energy, lifestream, maybe nothing in particular.
More and more, I feel the need to share my work with everyone. I’ve started this series three years ago.

Share on FacebookHow do you create these light paintings? What tools and software? Or is it long exposures with camera only? They are super cool and I love your work. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Lance, this is all done during a single long exposure, using flashlights and optic fiber. Thank you for your comment
