I only learnt how to use Photoshop about 2 years ago and I instantly got addicted to it. I wanted to be very good at it but I knew I needed to practice a lot! So I started this series to teach myself every day. To practice my skills daily I started to create these images and scenes that are out of this world. This series captures kids and the world around them through their eyes. I start my process by scrolling through the amazing photos of Unsplash that is a collection of copy right free images. And when I find an image that inspires me I try to find another image I can combine it with. I love to create huge contrasts in size between my subjects and I also love placing my subjects in magical scenes, using forest animals and nature. I try to capture how I felt like as a kid when I found myself completely lost in an interesting book or how I imagined a whole new world around me when I played. I try to achieve a natural look that brings the two images together into one scene and I try to make it look as realistic as possible – even thought the results are very surrealistic. Depending on the images and the feeling I try to capture I spend about 2-3 hours perfecting my work.
