I’ve always been obsessed with food-themed home decor. Recently, I decided to challenge myself to make something that looks fresh from the garden but can actually hold my trinkets (or candles!)

The process involves casting with plaster and carefully hand-painting layers to get that ripe, organic tomato look. It took a lot of patience to get the gradient right, but the result is so satisfying!

    The final look! I tried to mimic the texture of real heirloom tomatoes.

    Here you can see the scale. They fit perfectly in the palm of your hand.

    Work in progress. Adding layers of color to the plaster base is the most satisfying part.

    They work great as storage jars for jewelry or as cozy candle holders.
