How do you get through sugar withdrawal? Sugar withdrawal is real! You may have sugar withdrawal symptoms.

Believe me, as someone who has been on a low-carb diet for the last three months, and has lost about thirty pounds, I can tell you, it’s tough to get through sugar withdrawal. I’m going to give you some tips you can use if you too have decided to do the low-carb lifestyle and eliminate sugar from your diet. “Queries of the Interweb.” Now I’m not going to sugar coat it okay. The first week of no sugar sucks ballz! Now this has worked really well for me. As I mentioned, I’m down about 30- pounds since I started, but I’d be lying if I said it was completely due to not eating sugar. In fact, I’ve actually been eating low carb overall, which mean no bread, no rices, no pastas.

The Ketogenic Diet:

Some of you may have heard of the Ketogenic diet. That’s pretty much what I’m doing. It’s a low card, high fat diet. Now naturally that means no sugar, because sugar is pretty much carbs in it’s most pure form. Now like a drug addict getting off of his meth, or a alcoholic who’s stopped drinking, you are similarly going to have withdrawal symptoms when you come off of sugar. A lot of experts and a lot of studies show that sugar is an addiction and like any addiction, you’re going to go through withdrawal if you stop doing it.

Stop Drinking the Calories: Chug Water!

You got to start somewhere. Maybe stop drinking your calories and then work your way towards it in about a week. If you’re hard-core and you think you can give it up in one day, go for it. But here’s some things you should know. It’s going to suck. One thing you’re going to want to do, is you’re going to want to drink a lot of water okay, ’cause whenever you’re hungry, instead of going to the fridge to binge, you’re going to want to chug some water. If you have to have something sweet, eat some fruit okay. Don’t ruin in by eating a toaster stroodle, or a top, pop tarty, whatever they’re called… pop tart. If you can, get rid of all the sugar in your house because it’s going to be tempting. If you live in a house with other people, you’re just going to have to utilize every ounce of iron will you have to not eat the sugar. This is a lifestyle change bro.

It’s not a diet okay.

It’s a lifestyle :)

Stay Busy:

Now if you have a full time job and you’re working all day, it’s easier to stay off sugar because you’re not at home with all your snacks and all your other bull crap. Eliminate sugar slowly, drink lots of water, get sugar out of your house if you can, and this is huge, be proactive okay. Plan what you’re gonna eat ahead.

Research Low Carb Meals: Be Proactive with Your Eating!

There’s a lot of low carb meals out there you can research; super easy to make, really not that hard. After you quick sugar, just hang in there for a week. I promise you the cravings will stop. They will stop. I’m on a really good role. I don’t know where I’ll be in a year but I’m really excited to see where I’ll be. I no longer crave sugar. I no longer crave sweets and the reason for that is because I’m a better person than you.
