To be fair, the film isn't about Hannibal Lecter, it's about Clarice Starling and "Buffalo Bill". But Hopkins' performance stole the show for so many people that they seem to think the film was about him. Ted Levine's performance was just as amazing and one of the most underrated performances.

The Shawshank Redemption. Not the best movie. Not the best prison movie. Not even the best American 20th-century prison having Morgan Freeman portraying a prisoner (which, in my opinion, would be the 1980 film Brubaker).
