A pain transfer device that reads the pain your nerve endings feel. So your doctor can actually feel your pain briefly, or see it on a screen, to help diagnosis illnesses (and so they actually take their patients seriously).

I would love to. Altough pain is a bit too subjective so I am not sure how it would work well. For example you tend to feel more pain if the reason for it is unknown because you become scared of it being dangerous. While if you know why it is (like you had surgery and its normal to have pain) it feels better.

Great idea! The people who need it wouldn’t be treated like drug seekers and the drug seekers would have a harder time getting their fix

This is the best idea I've ever heard of, I had spinal surgery it didn't work so I had a second surgery and that didn't work, when I went back to my doctor after about six months she tried to tell me I had failed surgery syndrome, I was still in agony after two operations and that was her response, I never felt as low or as humiliated in all my life.

I think a lot of people are confused about socialism and communism, so we’re better off saying that we give a damn about people. Socialism and communism lure people into supporting tyrants, but it’s actually corruption and many complex issues that lead to a country’s downfall and the people’s oppression.

Not really worth the expense (and materials) it would take to make it happen -- an average person will put out around 100W on an exercise bike, so an hour long 30 person spin class might generate 3KWh, or around 30 cents worth of electricity (and that ignores electrical losses that would be incurred in all of the circuitry to capture and convert the power to actually use it for anything). And almost all treadmills *use* power to run the belt, so you can't capture any energy from it -- even the ones that aren't powered have a lot of built-in drag, so you couldn't capture much excess power.

Exactly, although I don't have endometriosis ibuprofen, paracetamol and similar stuff doesn't help if the pain is really high.. all I ever heard was I can take a warm bath or drink tea or use warming pads (good intentions but ridiculous advice for pain like this) or I got prescribed some indigestion medicine (that didnt help at all) when telling the gynologist it is really, really painfull and if there isn't anything else I could take (would have taken anything at this point).

a key element is enforcement. the same people who generally want this and would attach a hefty penalty would also whip out their cell phones in a microsecond to capture any perceived microaggresion by a law enforcement officer upon any nearby citizen. and you know that giving a ticket or otherwise for not wearing a mask would lead to viral videos that wouldn't look great on the evening news for any police dept. i just don't think this is going to happen. can you imagine people chasing someone like on andy griffith shouting, "citizen's arrest! citizen's arrest!"?

Please remember there are many different forms of cancer. Some can be cured, especially with early diagnosis, but research continues to find better, kinder treatments for other types. It's a subject close to my heart as I was told, back in 1990, that my cancer was incurable and I only had 6 months to live. After extensive treatment, I had to stop work but now volunteer twice a week for the local hospice, which supported me.

No one should get a free pass. There are procedures for becoming an American citizen. Let's say you're standing in a looong line at a music concert, hoping they don't sell out before you reach the ticket booth. Then you see a huge crowd of elderly people making their way to the front of the line, saying, "I'm old, I should get to go first. Don't you have any respect for your elders? Old people should get to go first." Would you agree, knowing now that there will be no ticket for you?

thanks to the internet, the time it takes to dig up even medium level dirt on a candidate is rather quick and the ease to store indefinitely every stupid thing said and done is almost effortless. these two factors alone have probably scared off too many decent and honest folks. the only ones left either have serious leverage or egos the size of wisconsin. you're really left with choosing the lesser of the evils that show up. and putting your family through this these days!?! anything beyond state house or senate/rep level is so brutal. and even those races these days can be full of too much acrimony.

Tires are a balance between wear, ride comfort and road grip. You *could* have tires made of materials so hard that they last the lifetime of your car, but they'd be uncomfortable and have terrible road grip. That said, you can get very long lasting tires, Goodyear warrants their Goodyear Assurance ComforTred tires for 80,000 miles. They are more expensive than the cheapest tires, but at around $150 each, they aren't the most expensive.

what if a company made this and calculated the price to be at least the value of 4 full changes of tires? would the average customer really cough up that amount of $ for it? at about $175 for 4 tires x 4, $700. surely, there would be additional fees for disposal, installation, etc. so around $800. tough sell, i'm thinking. but i'd def consider it!

Google already does this. You can add plus sign aliases, and they'll get delivered to your mailbox, so if you are "someuser@gmail.com", you can use "someuser+facebook@gmail.com" as an alias. You can also use filters to help tag and sort these aliases. https://support.google.com/a/users/answer/9308648?hl=en

I agree except what about people who hunt? They need to hunt to eat and so the animal population doesnt get too high. Maybe you get a huge discount if you have a hunting license with NO more than 2 previous issues or tickets/arrests. That way people who violate the law a lot cant afford to buy bullets.

People who don't understand history are not equipped to understand the rights secured for us by our founders. How many other rights would you take away? Have you not considered that EVERYTHING is a weapon? A knife, a screwdriver, a hammer, a rock, a book, a pen, a skillet, a shoe, a rope, duct tape, all of these have been used to kill people. The right to bear arms was written so that citizens could fight back against tyranny, and you're getting ready to see tyranny in action, but first they have to disarm us so we can't fight back. It's good to know which side you're on.

Completely disregard that I don't agree with you -at all- for the sake of discussion and civility: Lots of people in the area where I live have their own reloading set ups so that when we shoot, the brass from the bullets can be collected, taken home, cleaned, and reloaded into new, usable ammunition. What would you propose we do about that? Fortunately your idea of making the price of bullets 5k each is unrealistic, it would take away a lot from people who incorporate firearms into their lifestyles but I'd still be curious to know what you'd want to do. Would you be for taking that away from people saving money/having fun with their hobbies of reloading brass? My dad really likes doing it :/

The areas in the USA that aren't already a 15 - 20 minute drive from an all night convenience store are probably the areas that wouldn't have enough traffic to support a well stocked vending machine. I live in a small town of around 10,000 people have have a 24 hour 7-11 market within a 5 minute drive (and they do carry diapers, not sure about other baby supplies), two 24 hour gas stations (not sure if their convenience stores carry baby supplies), and a 24/7 supermarket within in a 20 minute drive.

The easiest I suppose would be creating an inverted desktop space with apparatus like oculus, in which you can set it so that you can bend and reach for icons and programs. Maybe even an activity setting where you can choose to make it harder or easier on yourself. I feel like this should exist, but Ive only heard of Oculus being used for gaming and its a waste. You could program the OS to look like a house, and files and programs look like books, or program it to look like some alien spaceship and all the programs look like crystals. Graphic designers could sell templates and mods.

So... some sort of device that you can write with , that doesn’t require you to move (yes I am that lazy) but not like a voice-to-writing kind of thing, because that will wake my parents. Maybe a mind-reading-thingy that transfers your thoughts to words in a google doc or something like that.

I don't know about lazy, I find the sound of my own voice too distracting to dictate a story, and typing (no matter how fast) can't keep up with the thought, so I lose the story.

A flawless justice system throughout the world. No Corruption = No Theft (Greed) = An End to Poverty. Also artists, more specifically in television/music industry, should have a cap on pay. Why should doctors/teachers/civil workers be paid less than entertainers? when they add little to no (morals &) value to society. (Kardashians, I'm looking at you) Yes, many artists are inspirational, kind and generous, but don't affect the amount of lives everyday like good teachers and qualified doctors can over a span of years.

There should be a option on microwaves to freeze stuff. So all you have to do is press a button and it starts freezing a water bottle or something. And yes, I know what a freezer/fridge is, I just thought it'd be quicker than to wait an hour to get an "ok" cold water.

Who would want to give you a brain transplant? No one wants to give you their brain. And if you got it from someone dead: 1. The brain stops working. That’s one of the reasons you’re dead. 2. Even if you could get it working, do you know how much that would cost? Probably more than a million bucks.

    #103

Some folks have super fast brain waves that cause them to speed off in all directions with no idea where they should be going or what to do when they get to their destination. Maybe, someone should invent a 15 minute slow down pill: taken under doctor supervision. A Nanobots house kit - a chest of nanobots that are programmed to use and modify whatever raw materials they find on the spot (even elements in the dirt) to create a whole house and everything you need it in. I have come across child stories that had this type of either chest or apple - the "hero" would get it from the princess and he'd be told to only open it when he gets home or smth (he usually wouldn't and get in trouble for it); over the night, the chest or apple would turn into a golden/silver/crystal/gem castle.

Some device (and software) that allows you to attach old, redundant technology for functional analysis and then add it's capabilities to newer technology. In a similar way to the Borg (from Star Trek). For example; I have two old Sony phones with memory, video, etc just sitting in a box. This "device" should be able to analyse what they can do and add these functions to, say, a laptop or a television or a network etc. If I get a newer laptop or want to upcycle an old PC. Then this device should be able to allow them to be connected together to offer some advantage and to suggest the optimum way to power them all. As time goes on, more devices could readily be added to the "Borg Network" even such things as an old FM radio, a TV remote, old dongles, old cameras, calculators, extra monitors and so on. The software could study and monitor itself and make suggestions for improvements. Imagine how all the extra processors could combine to improve computing functions and how the extra memories could be used in combination too.

A special machine washer for those stainless steel straws! I have not heard of any way to wash them with a dishwasher. You have to wash them one at a time with a little scrub brush and it takes so long... maybe if there was a good machine washer for them more people would buy them instead of plastic or paper ones, and restaurants could use them for the drinks consumed in the restaurant, without the trouble of washing them by hand.

I write a book but am horrible at animating, but I always wanted to draw the fight scene between my characters, Kuroi, Azumi and Tomoyo. Then, the computer will open a page asking how you want it animated, such as a certain anime style, or your own. Then, poof, an animation with absolutely no effort. Sorry, i'm lazy.
