I've been around Video Games for a while now. So there's more than one. Coming from Atari VCS and then the NES, "A Link To The Past" on the SNES really felt next-Gen that time. Graphics, music, story. Still holds up.

GTA III and Super Mario 64 were similar experiences - a whole new (3D) world!

Last time I was really impressed were BOTW (Switch) and RDR2 (PS4/5).

One game I still keep going back to since the 90s is "Monkey Island 2". Will always hold a special place in my heart.

For me, the best game I've ever played is The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time. Okay, the graphics have aged like milk, but still. I played it again from beginning to end last year and it still holds up. It brought back a lot of great memories for me.

The Bioshock series and the Acorn version of Elite. This version of Elite had solid graphics rather than wire frame and had some extra missions thrown in as extras that were not in the BBC Micro version. Bioshock for the stories, settings, the whole concept really.
