Nobody knows what the afterlife is really like, but I really hope that we will be able to create ours according to our likes and dislikes. What would your ideal afterlife be like?

This is going to be pretty long, because I've already designed one in my head. So basically, when you die, you come to a giant place where you have tons of options of what you can do. You can be reincarnated, go to the afterlife your religion believes in, become a ghost, and a lot more things. If you were evil in life though, your soul basically gets terminated so there's no possibility of you coming back to do more damage. There are a lot more details to it, and I'm thinking of making a graphic novel of it, so what do you think of my idea?

Animal heaven. The concept of living forever sounds both nightmarish and absurd—as a human being. But my wife and I like to pretend there’s an animal heaven. To a dog or a cat, endless days of eating well, lazing in the sun, sleeping in a warm bed, and playing on the beach would be endlessly joyful. I think of my dog’s best days she’s ever had, and it’s easy to see that that would make her happy no matter how many times it repeated. I think of my cat that passed almost three years ago, and know that laying in a sunbeam for a few millennia at a time would probably be his best life. 🥲

Everything you can do in life, with zero consequences. Endless orgies, endless drugs, sky diving, high speed car chases, deep sea exploration, blow s**t up, space adventures and at the end of every crazy day, home cooked meal from grandma with friends and family

I'd want the ability to relive mortal life with a twist, such as having superpowers or becoming an astronaut.

Mine I think would be like most others. No more pain, as I've been suffering with migraines and degenerative disc disease for years. I have loved ones who I miss every day and I'd love my significant other to meet; my mom, my grandfather, my brother, my great grandmother. Damn, my mom would love her so much. Great food which always tastes wonderful, but you never gain any weight and you can eat as much as you want. 😜 Never worry about money again. My kids being happy and healthy. You can always queue up your favorite playlist without any commercials and sing along like the rock star that you know you are. 🧑‍🎤🤘I'm a simple fool. 😁

I always imagined that reincarnation would be reserved for those who lived their whole lives with debilitating diseases or died to young so they would get a second chance.

I hope I get to spend eternity with all my cats. I wish for a quiet place, A beautiful library. Filled with all the knowledge of the worlds.

If I were to be reincarnated though, It would be preferred if I were to become a, well... Demonic Cat.

Well, I have certainly thought about it before.
There would be a "main Afterlife", which would be kinda like a hub world. Everyone lives there together. I guess it would have multiple levels to it (imagine a big city build in rings around a center), the better a person you are in life, the further up you will live in that city. But there would be nothing preventing you from visiting other areas so you can meet whoever you want.
In that world there would be endless possibilities for activities you want to do, with only people's imagination being the limit.
Then, everyone would have an area to themselves, where they can look at their life on a timeline. On this Timeline they can go to any point in their life and relive it. With the added benefit of being able to change literally anything they want. Like stopping time at their command, or flying, actual magic, and whatever else one can think of. So you could relive and change your actions however you want. (these changes would not affect the "original" timeline of your life, instead showing up as new branches on it).
Lastly, everyone would have the option to create their own personal afterlife that they can freely enter and exit whenever they want and also bring other people with them. This afterlife is completely individual and you can change and modify it whenever you feel like it.

The general idea behind my thoughts is making sure everyone can be happy in the afterlife, because that is most important.

A cottage in a forest, with a garden, near a creek. Equipped with a library and some animals. Maybe lost loved ones for company. Or maybe just the sense that you're loved, and not painfully alone.

The seasons change, but it's always still pleasant [you'll still need a sweater in the winter, but you'll never risk freezing]. Food doesn't run out [but you'll still have to make the soup if you want it]. Clothes don't wear down [but you'll still need to clean them]. Everything is slow and quiet. There's time for everything. There's nothing to worry about.

I could never accept an eternal Hell, even for the worst people. My idea of Hell is more like Purgatory, where the wicked and rotten suffer in accordance for their evil deeds.

In my afterlife you would get to have all of your biggest questions answered. How did human life evolve intelligence, is there advanced intelligent life elsewhere in the universe, why are we here, what would we be capable of if we could use one hundred percent of our brains… You could know absolutely everything you’ve ever wanted to know.

And we would all be able to travel the universe if we wanted in astral form, still being able to see, hear, taste, and touch things, but without a body to injure. You could walk the ruins of Mars, see the ice fields of Jupiter, dance on Saturn’s rings, and visit other civilizations in the Centauri or Andromeda systems.

I would send all the bad people to be ghosts. Never can communicate or actually come in contact with the world, but have to watch it for eternity. While they are being hunted by a scary ghost like creature that will kill them. Then they will stuck exactly where they died. And have to watch that one spot of the Earth until the universe dies.

The world for the good people is very confusing. Everyone has their own mini world which they can create anything they want in it. And can change it at anytime with just a thought. Their mini world is connected to the big world where good souls can go out and talk to each other, have jobs you know just like Earth without all the hatred and badness.

Now if you stolen for the heck of it you are a bad soul. If you stolen to keep yourself or someone else alive you are still a good soul.

If you killed someone for the heck of it. You are a bad soul. If you killed out of self-defense, someone forced you to (this includes being in military). Now with abortion this gets tricky.
If the baby is threatening your health or isn't going to live a good life you are okay. (This means it's born into a bad place or has a health defect.) Also if you pull the plug on someone suffering with their consent or they won't live much longer, you are still a good soul.

Animals are included to all this.
Hunting an animal isn't bad though

Ok so I actually thought of this when I was like 4 cause I had a dream of it and it’s still been in my head until now. So I call this place “beach paradise” where we are all on this giant island with a beautiful beach and when we die we wake up in a plane going to paradise (don’t ask about this part) and once they land there will be 2012-2015 music playing (just me but 2012-2015 had the best music) and we just party in like suits or nice dresses with a MAGNIFICENT, BEAUTIFUL, ONCE IN A LIFE TIME VIEW of a sunset with a couple of wavy clouds (like the clouds that look like they are apart of earth and nowhere near the ground) yeah those ones and just a beautiful ocean speakers playing music and great people dancing and partying on! But alas you may be wondering about my version of hell……….well……..everyone deserves a second chance so they are all welcome to beach paradise. But that’s not the end there is a entire world to explore for my version of heaven. So it’s not just beach paradise you can go to there is the world of fun and paradise no more suffering and all fun! And a party I would invite God too!!!!!! Hope you all enjoyed!!!

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT!! There would be a group of people who would look at your life, they would choose if you went to a “good” place or “bad” place. Bad is for murderers dictators and horrible people like trump hitler and Ted bundy, while average ppl would go to the good place, they would get to choose to stay in a “heaven”-like area, or be a ghost or be reincarnated. You can transition between the three. In the main area you can stay in a house designated by yourself and can do whatever you want, (other than bad things though) you can play a game it is an place just like real life but nobody gets affected so you can cause chaos, You can also view your memories and relive them. You are able to play any game or do anything that you could do in life. Don’t ask what happens to the people in the bad place ;)

You go through something like Purgatory to atone for your bad deeds. Then you get the afterlife you'd like.

Mine is a humongous library full of the kind of books I enjoy reading: science fiction, history, philosophy, science. In it is a beer bar with only great craft brews - lots and lots and lots and lots of them. And it's open to anybody else who wants to read while drinking excellent beer. If you prefer mysteries/thrillers or romance, those will be available, too!

There would be options. I just had a dream about an afterlife that was "perfect" but my family were all still alive and it just made me sad that I couldn't be with them. So in my afterlife you would just kind of not exist until everyone you loved were dead and then you could do whatever you wanted forever.

There are no different places you go, we all go to one big place and it looks different to everybody. So one person may be seeing one thing and someone sees that world super differently. they are all in the same place and they are all correct in what they see. Good and evil don't exist after death
