Here Are Book Covers That I Used To Illustrate My Stories
I've loved telling stories ever since I was a child. Disguising my own experiences through tales, creating the satisfying endings that life doesn't always hand you on a platter… That's a high! And it's healing.
I'm an excellent writer, but doing my own book covers challenges me. There is hardly any cover of mine that I am fully happy with.
Don't let AI steal your creativity. If you enjoy writing, do not take the AI shortcut. Take the time to sit and write. It's a skill and a talent that just like singing, or dancing or cooking, or drawing. It gives back so much more with practice. While I love how AI gives us an opportunity to make tons of money by shortening technical steps in areas like – making Apps, or animating your drawings, writers will always be needed. Hone your skill.

I love the photo. I love my book. The two of them together? Not so much. Maybe with today’s AI tools, I could really “pop” this cover, but back then, when I published this book, my real, true skillset has always been writing. Budget-wise, I did the best I could for book covers!
I took this photo a long time ago. Yet nothing I was writing seemed suited to this cover; I tend to love the abstract, but those don’t seem to do well covering my books
This photo is moody, evocative, and provocative, yet doesn’t lend its qualities to advantage for my Dystopian covers, such as “Death Mission”, or my modern thriller like “A Fine Thing Murder”. Any suggestions?
I love all my book covers, but how to make them really stand out is a challenge. Which is such a shame, because my stories are always so damn good
