New York Times bestselling author Nathan W. Pyle (previously here) looks like the kind of guy who has endured one horrible job interview too many. Mainly because his ongoing comics series "Nailed It" perfectly captures the hilarious tension between the interviewer and the interviewee and everything that it produces.

Once i said NO to my boss when he asked me to come on weekend, and when he asked the reason for it, i said coz I have a weekend job as a cat-sitter! He never asked me to come on weekend again! P.S.- I later found out he was afraid of cats!
I was asked that question and I blew it. I told the man that I wanted a dog. Can't believe I didn't get the job.....
LOL This one is brilliant! I am so going to use this if I ever happen to look for a job again.
Or those might be 42 reasons not to hire him
Load More Replies...Most job interviews are just outdated, unnecessary and sometimes stupid. If a company HR asks me a lot of questions such redundant questions like "name a weakness" or "tell us about a time when you succeeded in something", that 's a signal that the place is run by an old fashioned and stiff administration. In this case I feel uneasy about working with such an obssessed mentality. Another point that shows this is nonsense is that HR know most interviewees forge answers just to please the company. Where is the truth in this?
Yeah but they still keep on asking these questions! :/
Load More Replies...I've had every single one of these questions in most of my job interviews, and I noticed they just follow a protocol without actually listening since they already decided on your cover letter and your looks wether you made it...
I once was in an interview where we talked about F.R.I.E.N.D.S for good 10-15 minutes.. and yes, I didn't get that job :-|
they should have told you the job was gonna be this way 👏👏👏👏

Once someone ask me - Do you even know where does all the taxes you pay Go? I replied - Yes, In HR salary!
Hilarious- I've heard all of these and can definitely relate! What a hoot.
I was asked numerous questions in my 1st interview. I was called back a week later for a 2nd interview and answered more questions. They called me two weeks after that and offered me the job. I had already taken a job with another company. I told them they waited to long and needed to change their interview process. Do they think we don't go on numerous interviews with various companies? I told them it was their loss.
Better luck that me. I was getting calls for interviews three months after I had been hired at my current employer.

I love this. I agree with Nora that when i am asked these questions, I feel like it tells me that the interviewer isn't very creative and definitely weighs in on my decision to work there. However, they are questions you should be prepared to answer. For me, the questions an interviewee asks me are as important as how they answer my questions when I am hiring.
If every HR ever asked me such rhetoric questions I would let them read my social media profiles and timeline, let them analyze by themselves.
Once I applied for a receptionist position, (I'm a IT technician but in that time getting a job here in Tijuana was hard and the companies didn't want girls in that area) the HR lady ask me: what if you find something related to your career? and a lot of stupid questions like where do you see yourself in ten years ( maybe in this company being your boss) I was there because I need it the job I was so angry I just wanted to slap that lady in the face and walk out of there....she acted like she was the owner of the company., like she didn't want me there, she was just another employee...obviously I didn't get the job....😠
That woman was being a b***h because she didn't like her job, nor her life. Not worth getting angry over.
Load More Replies...I can remember how clueless I used to be in job interviews. Like many young people in general, I kinda thought that the company owed me a job. I could probably get a lot of those jobs if I could go back and be sensible.
To be fair, your answer was very rude. I can understand you didn't get hired. I wouldn't hire a rude guy either.
