Animals often have instincts and senses more impressive than ours. #40 - the elephant holding its own tail with the trunk, is actually the saddest thing. She's doing that to make herself feel less alone, as if she's holding onto someone else. Elephants are very social, but she is all alone at that place. That's the real story behind that sad photo.

Wish I could add mine. I have a photo of 2 of our saltwater fish who went after the same piece of food. The porcupine puffer got there first, then the grouper's mouth closed around its head, so it inflated. They stayed stuck like that for at least 15 minutes before the grouper was able to shake the puffer loose. Both fish were fine afterward, although the puffer was gasping for a few minutes.
