I can’t say that I have never been interested in art. It never touched me so much, you know. “Nice picture, soft colours. I like it (or not)”, – that was everything I could say about a piece of art. Even when I saw beautiful paiting of a very famous artist, it usually never impressed my soul.

As the years passed by, I even stopped to look at paintings – I knew, what I will see. I didn’t even give any chances to those works to try to touch my soul.

Almost a year ago I changed my mind. My boyfriend showed me a few paintings of his friend.

This friend’s name is Taras Prystupa. He call himself a free artist, patriot of his land and is in love with his wife and little daughter.

When I saw his works… Well, I was shocked. Not because they were technically strong, but because of how realistic they were. He shows everything which is around him in details – forest, fields, mountains, sky. Sometimes I even start to think, when I look at the paiting with forest drawn on it, that I can feel fallen leaves beneath my feet, soft wind blowing into my face and hear the voices of little forest inhabitants.

Kind of mystical feeling for me.

Never thought that I will change my mind about art. Never thought art will change my mind about so deeply, that I will start to find out more about it…
