I discovered a way of getting inside the mechanics of Google Earth. It is an other wordly place once inside.

I was on a shoot in Mexico City and the internet was incredibly slow for a while as I was navigating in Google Earth looking for locations. The application glitched in a way that allowed me to get inside the framework of street view.

It was a brief event but I really loved the glitched results and the ability to explore inside the framework of GE. Back in Los Angeles I experimented with ways to recreate the glitch I had in Mexico. By adding resistance to my internet connection and choking my internet speeds, it was possible to get back inside this abstract world.

These are some of the results.
