After reading about Chinese watercolors and admiring all the art that comes from such techniques, I was certainly inspired to do my own. It took me quite a while before I felt comfortable enough to actually pick up the brush, so I mostly just read about the techniques. When I finally did psych myself to paint, I also added in the flowers to make the designs more original. I ended up not sticking to the traditional Chinese paintings, but felt satisfied in my work.
