My IPhone is my lifeline. It’s both my workmate and, in my case, also my wallet.
I spend many hours a week driving my own — and other people’s — cars and I depend on Google Maps and Car Play to help me do my job.
Trying to find a way to secure and display my phone in a variety of cars was a challenge. I tried magnets, stands, and sticky rubber, and nothing worked perfectly.
I wanted an extra cup holder so I bought one of these (pictured) and secured it to my own vent. As I was hooking up my phone to use Car Play, I realized that my cupholder (with the split in the center) was a perfect stand for my phone. It brings my IPhone screen into my driving line of sight and it accommodates the lightning cord. Best of all for me, I can use this type of cup holder in almost anyone else’s car, with no impact.
