While filming a documentary about climate change on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State I captured a storm from the air using my DJI Phantom 4 Quadcopter. My assistant and I heard the waves pounding and so we climbed to the top of a cliff. It was windy and difficult to fly but the waves were immense, so I had to get out there and shoot them. I took off from a rock not much bigger than a basket ball and shot the drone straight out over the ocean. I pointed the camera down and kept shooting until the battery started flashing. I had to attempt the landing three times as the wind threatened to smash the drone into the cliff. The last time I landed perfect and retrieved the card to find some amazing pictures.
