A 16-Year-Old Went To A Gay Bar With A Fake I.D. And Things Could’ve Ended Terribly If Not For This Drag Queen
Date rape drugs usually have no smell or taste, making them extremely difficult to spot. Especially if you’re a new, inexperienced bar or club visitor. Many years after it occurred, an anonymous tumblr user has come forward with a story about the horrific time a man slipped something into their drink in a gay establishment and dragged them outside and into his car. not to make light of the situation (I'm so glad the chap was saved, so sorry he went through that, and I wish this world were a better place), but I would so want to see a TV series, or movie where a group of drag queens go around like the A Team solving crimes, righting wrongs and beating the sh*t out of rapists

All joking aside now...it really astounds me the way people say things like, "Drag queens are some of the best people ever.", as if that is a novel idea! They are PEOPLE!! Just like every other person! LOL! One thing unique about them, is that they have become used to being picked on, bullied, treated with disrespect, etc. As a result, they are a bit more empathetic than most people.

Agreed. Also drag queens are still individual people with different attitudes, characters, experiences... I find it weird that some people are so eager to gereralize even when it concerns positive traits.

I adore drag queens. It really is an art. They are incredible at what they do and look amazing whilst they're doing it. I have fantastic memories of my early days clubbing and meeting so many wonderful people. I feel So happy that this story had a happy ending and to know that they saved you! Thank god they were there and had the courage to help you. We need more drag queens in our lives!!!

My nephew is a Drag Queen, he went from Ag (4-H and FFA) to Drag. He came out two Christmases ago and started watching YouTube videos on how to do make-up and he makes his own costumes. Besides being a DQ he's employed at a high end bridal shop as a salesperson and make-up artist. I'm jealous of, but very happy for him because he makes a living at doing what he loves, we all should be so lucky!
