It is widely known that cats deeply love boxes. We noticed that our kitty Tika had a crazy obsession with the laundry basket, which is better than a cardboard box.

Every time we did the laundry she would take her chance, jump into it, and play with her sister Paf
She prefers the laundry basket against any other box, so we decided to give it to her and now she is happier than ever
The laundry basket provides them the same advantages as boxes, such as shelter from predators and an enclosed space to take a nap, but with many more benefits
The small holes in the net are like little windows where they can observe and feel invisible to humans and other animals
The flexibility of the basket lets them to jump into it, bounce and smash it
If you want your cat to be the happiest in the world, get him a laundry basket

I love the pictures that capture the graceful motion of cats. Seeing cats in action is always fascinating and impressive. Excellent idea with the mesh laundry basket! So many of the cat products that are commercially available (towers, trees, houses) are pretty expensive, but as you demonstrated, it is free and easy to make one out of existing household items :)
My Ninja loves those too! He's always leaping into it, out of it and knocking it over.
My daughter was sharing hers with our kitten, but he got so much enjoyment out of it, we let him have it. He splits his affections between it & large paper bags!
