Last year, I was spending days at home, doing absolutely nothing. One day a tutorial on YouTube caught my eye. It was a tutorial on how to draw a moving circle, which was an optical illusion. The video was mind boggling at first, making me think how on earth can someone draw something like this. But on the second watch, I thought to myself, ‘Doesn’t seem extremely hard anymore. Maybe I could try drawing it just to pass time.’

After 3 and a half hours, I finally finished it and was quite proud of the end result. But more than that, I felt extremely satisfied and was in a very tranquil state of mind. I completely lost track of my surroundings for those 3.5 hours. I knew this was something I wanted to know and explore more and thus began my love for optical illusions. I’ve been drawing illusions and improving myself ever since. It has been quite exciting and has led me to be an aspiring op art artist.
