Cat Owner Finds A Note Attached To Its Collar, Learns Her Secret

Makes us wonder how many cat are actually "multi-homing" or even "multi-familying"...

We have just been adopted by a 13 yr old female cat, we thought she was a feral cat till one day she turned up with a flea collar on, she took over our greenhouse ( she is not a house cat ) she was flea ridden and red raw all around here neck and ears when we came back from a four day trip away, we took her to the vet and they injected her with some anti-biotic's and flea killer, she never left out yard for over a month and this woman came around shouting out looking for some animal, after asking what she had lost she said her cat, we said we had been adopted by a cat and she looked in the greenhouse at this cat and she said that's my cat, when the cat saw her it went flying around the greenhouse as if it was mental, we asked why she didn't look after her cat better she said her other cats and dogs beat her up, I said what about the fleas & ticks she has she didn't want to answer that question, but we told her you cannot have her back and we are going to report you to the RSPCA .

Torties are very adventurous and people-loving! My old roommate had a Malamute, and I had a tortie cat, and the two pets were great friends. When my roomie and I would walk her dog, the kitty would follow us down the street, sometimes walking right beside us, and other times forging ahead. Our neighbors who might be out in their yards in the evening would laugh to see us "walking the cat." One funny thing was that she would only go so far--she would stop and sit down at one particular corner as we walked farther with the dog--and wait patiently until we came back that way, then pick up with us again. They were both wonderful pets, and the tortie cat lived to be 19 years old and only recently passed away.

We had a cat that came to us every afternoon. Knocked on our door to come inside (she demanded to be let in) and spent the night. In the morning she would stay by the door to be let out. She even played with our dogs - more like she picked on them. Anyway, 1 day someone came by and told us that they were moving and thank you for letting their cat stay with us. We (our dogs too) really miss her. Im sure she found another place to crash. LOL

I had an old black & white farm cat that 'adopted' a couple that moved into the vacant home one house down from mom & dad's place. One time weeks later, this couple while at mom & dad's for coffee, commented on this 'wonderful B&W woods cat' that strolled-into their home while they were moving in. They were 'afraid' of this cat so they let him come & go at will. They provided a bowl for the cat, gave it milk and snacks, etc. The cat slept near their fireplace. And then while talking about this wildcat, 'Mr. Mittens' himself came wandering out of mom & dad's partially open bedroom door and they pointed & exclaimed "-That's him! That's the cat!!" We all had a good laugh when we told them it was my cat, -and he is a mooch...
