I Walk The Streets And Cartoon-Bomb My Surroundings To Make People Smile
I started creating Cartoon Bombings during some holidays. I had a notebook and started a travel diary but I quickly got bored with landscape pencil sketches, so I started adding things on top of them, stories I could imagine from the landscape in front of me. And from that day, I made a habit of drawing one funny cartoon bombing a day and sharing them on Instagram.
My creative process is quite simple, but basically, I like to see a sort of augmented reality. We are all living in the same world, it’s part of our daily life, we are walking the same way going to work every day but nobody really pays attention to it. So I like to consider this daily environment as a great source of creative ideas inspiration. I usually walk the streets of Amsterdam (I’ve been living there for several months now) with my bag and a few sketchbooks and black ink pencils and I just look around for drawing ideas.
I receive very nice comments about my cartoon drawings from people and it makes me really happy. They motivate me to create even more, do funny drawings and try to make people smile every day.
