Natalia Castellar was mocked as a youngster by other children for her thick, dark eyebrows, but now the 17-year-old has shut down her haters after landing a modeling job.
“When I was younger they were all anyone would point out. I was bullied terribly because of how thick and long they were, so I wanted to shave them down,” Natalia said. However, she managed to turn a blind eye to all the hate and her new attitude gained an impressive following on social media, which earned Castellar a contract with NEXT Models, which is listed as one of the top modeling agencies in the world.

The recurring them that your flaws could be your greatest asset is great, but there are soooo many stories about a bullied child who became a model on bored panda. Every child gets bullied, but getting a modeling career is not the only (or maybe even the best) way to validate your worth or even your beauty.

Most every model I work with and train for the industry goes through daily bullying. Do you eat? Are you sick. You are too tall. You have no figure. The hardest thing eveyry young model has to learn is to get past all the constant hating and belittling that goes on in their daily lives and embrace the diffferences that allow them to do things and go places mundane folks will never experience.

Absolutely stunning! I can't wait to show this to my 9yr old daughter. She has a dark "unibrow" that ppl tease her about.. she has an innate confidence but sometimes wants to shave it too. She's beautiful enough that it doesn't matter, and I don't want to encourage her that it matters. She can decide when she's older. What do you girls think?

That's nice that she doesn't let people's opinions affect her self esteem. Though it seems that she is being intentionally militant about it. They do distract from her otherwise exotic good looks and make her appear very masculine, but if that's what she likes she has every right. It seems strange that she would initiate attention like this article unless she just really wants attention good or bad. The first photo does make her look like she has a facial beard. She not only loves her thick busy brows she also greatly enhances them with a browser pencil.
