Baku 2016: The 42nd Chess Olympiad

I’ve been working in Baku, for just over a year. Seems to the city of World wide competition.

First the Eurovision before I arrived, then the European Games, followed by the European Grand Prix, now the Chess.

Along the boulevard large chess boards apppeared where the citizens pit their skills against each other.

Even the buildings get in on the act
