Today’s world demands a lot from us. We are constantly in a hurry, running, striving for the unattainable, and unconsciously finding ourselves at the limit of our possibilities. Whether it’s the last kilometer of a marathon, the last rock to the top of a mountain, or the heat of a global pandemic. Still, man is inspiringly enduring.
In search of human limits, we have created an audiovisual installation and modern air theatre performance that got named – “Endurance”. The team of creators worked for more than 6 months to prepare a show that was presented live in August 2021 in Vilnius, Lithuania, for only up to 300 people audience in total.
Therefore, we – the electronic music culture project “Antidote Community”, together with the creative team, captured the performance in the video, to preserve the symbolic piece in the digital world.

‘Endurance’ at Arts Printing House
Hanging on a rope for 30 min without touching the ground
The axis of the performance is a near half-hour performance by Konstantin Kosovec, a circus artist hanging on a rope, which required a huge physical and mental effort on the part of the actor. Konstantin prepared the choreography that was challenging enough, that he wouldn’t know himself if he could do the show fully.
Interestingly, the piece was performed 2 times during the same day for audiences of 150 people. After the second time, the performer could barely walk.
The image of a chaotic, full of abstract challenges, but at the same time magical world was created by the creative team of “AB Lights”, led by Arvydas Buinauskas, one of the most recognized lighting designers in the Baltic States.
The installation was prepared and the show happened in Arts Printing House, Vilnius, Lithuania.
Electronic music creator Maksimilianas Opriška – FUME developed the main idea and emotional basis of the performance with an ambitious soundtrack. It is symbolic that sounds from various Vilnius churches were used to create it.
Exhaustion after the performance
Endurance becomes crucial in times of chaos and humans are tougher than they might sometimes believe.
