‘Flowers are dead the moment you pick them.’
Bay Area Artist Hara Chung’s inspiration came from her Mother who was not fond of the idea of having ‘dead flowers’ in the house.
‘Bouquets en Papier’ (Paper Bouquets) was created to bring together the idea of gifting flowers and art into one.
Hara paints and draws each flower, then uses art prints which are cut stem-by-stem to create a unique, handmade bouquet.
These bouquets are perfect for gifting or as a unique piece of home decor.
Due to the nature of her work Hara feels strongly that she needs to give back to the environment. She has partnered with the charity ‘One Tree Planted’ and plants one tree for every bouquet that is sold.
