After proving to the internet that cats photobombing classical art is a trend that will never die, amateur photographer/visual artist Eduard Cîrstea moved on to his next personal project – hypermarket football kits.

In his native country of Romania (as well as in the rest of the capitalist universe), there is heavy competition between hypermarkets such as French giant Carrefour, German powerhouse Kaufland and others such as Mega Image, Auchan, etc. While customers know this to be true, it is rarely or not at all showcased visually. We call that „healthy competition”.

Eduard saw a window and jumped right in – few other sports are more competitive than football (soccer, for all you US readers). The idea was there: football kit mashups between hypermarkets and teams that have similar logos and colour schemes. From the robin in both Norwich and Auchan’s logos to the horizontal rhombus shape in Spartak Moscow and Carrefour’s, the attention to detail was definitely there.

Take a look at the result!
