Antenna shops are a way for Japanese prefectures (let’s say they’re like states or provinces) to show off their goods to locals and visitors in the big cities.

For example, if you’re in Tokyo, you can actually get souvenirs from Hokkaido, Okinawa, and Kyoto, among other places, all within the Japanese capital.

That is to say, FOOD souvenirs.
