A while back, maybe mid September of 2020, I was walking on a forest trail, when a young squirrel scurried out of some bushes. He pauses, and starts inching closer. Suddenly, he sprints up my leg, up my body and to my shoulder! No, this young squirrel did not have rabies, apparently squirrels can have rabies (don’t ask me, ask google).
I can say one thing. That squirrel really did like to cuddle! Like, 20 minutes of cuddling. And I know that most people reading this will never be able to encounter something like this, and that is really too bad, because the joy inside me when that baby squirrel climbed up me? That was HUGE.
