After months of hard work, a new, elegantly illustrated edition of the cult classic, is set for launch on the largest global fundraising site. But this time, the matte black Hyde Edition can be your legacy.

Some things should last and great literary works are already immortal. With this project, we wanted to give these books the form that they deserve, so they can be passed on. That means not only designing the book to look pretty, but to develop a concept that will emphasise the reading experience; to craft the book out of high quality materials so it’s durable as well.

“Whether it is recent or hundreds of years old, great literary work is eternal and it will touch the human heart. That makes books an ideal heritage, an inspiration for generations to come, something that will stay long after you are gone and speak lengths about your character.” – said Marko Matijasevic, founder of Amaranthine Books and continued,
“We meticulously search for the right concept that inspires the art of the book. Once that is set, we give the utmost attention to detail in design, from the cover to the illustrations placed inside.
The end result is a printed classic turned into a piece of art that becomes your legacy.”

However, manufacturing such a book in large quantities is no easy task, especially financially. That is why we resorted to Kickstarter, to showcase what they can do through their first project “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” and to gather enough funds to kickstart the company, so they can produce even more books.
That means that backers get a first edition ever of Amaranthine Books, including a limited edition Kickstarter exclusive – a gritty, matte black Hyde Edition.

“These two editions of the same book are aimed at anyone who loves great books and wonderful design. But most importantly to people who, like me, would like to own something that lasts, something that will stay even after you are gone, as a testament to your person and your tastes.” – added Marko.

The public is being invited to support a chance to create it’s own legacy.
