Oh I know. Whenever someone calls someone vile a pig I say "don't insult pigs by comparing them to that person."

diane a - there are schools of thought in the scientific community for and against eating meat, it really is a shitstorm. but i think lab grown meat containing all required nutrients whilst retaining a similar texture and taste of meats will satisfy all (except the meat industry of course). it could probably be even more beneficial, cheaper to produce, less industrial waste, possibly not as susceptible to harmful bacteria like E.coli, contain even more nutrients than one would expect in meat, possibly not as fattening, easier to digest. PETA could invest a lot into looking into this. But it would take more strength to take the meat industry head on, so i suspect it's easier for them to challenge stupid phrases because they might hurt your pet's feelings ...or something

I can't go without animal products. And a lot with me. Probably due coming from a culture that for thousands of years had a diet of 90% meat. I get anemia VERY fast, like skipping 2-3 days. And Plant proteins don't seem to do the trick. I don't like animal cruelty, so I raise my own meat now. I would be interested in supporting lab grown meat, but I am curious if it can immitate the high nutrition parts like offal? Does it also have fat? What I have seen now it looks like a too perfect raw steak. (serious question)

sure diane a, there are many communities that require meat product but they ought to start adapting to a world without a meat industry per se, mass produced meat. i'm not suggesting taking away the livelihood or food supply of small communities (such as communities on the outskirts of Greenland where mostly only meat is consumed due to the region), but I am suggesting decreasing the need for "industry where there is a viable alternative for the majority

wont ever be a no meat industry - just try and keep it as humane as we can

Cant reply to you. i am a person living in a rural area - many farm animals. Not a vegan/vegetarian, but against any animal cruelty - which sadly does occur in farming
