Some cartoonists try to tell complex stories through their series, while others simply take absurd and often ridiculous ideas and turn them into jokes that still manage to make people laugh.
One of the artists who does this best is the creator of the 'Birdthing' comics. The series keeps a simple style and relies on bizarre dialogue, unexpected twists, and a very specific kind of humor that feels both quirky and often dark. Many of the jokes revolve around misunderstandings, overthinking, strange logic, and those odd conversations that somehow make perfect sense in the moment.
We’ve selected some of 'Birdthing’s' funniest comics below. Scroll down, enjoy the wonderfully strange logic, and don’t forget to upvote the ones that made you laugh the most.

"I don't need anything. Except this ashtray ... And this paddle game. ... And this remote control. ... And these matches. ... And this lamp. ... And that's all I need too... And this magazine and the chair. And I don't need one other thing, except my dog." ...
Tsunami means "harbor wave." Which isn't particularly descriptive. English calls it a "tidal wave." That makes more sense because it is a sudden rise and fall of the tide. Tides normally do this, but a tidal *wave* goes hard. We have adopted the Japanese word Tsunami anyway and the reason is pretty straight forward. No other country on Earth spends more time, effort, and money monitoring it, researching it, designing and building infrastructure for it, than the Japanese. More importantly, they write all the literature. When you write the vast majority of the literature, you get to name things and no else can stop you. It's the same way the 'L' ended up at the beginning of LGBT. The pen is mighty.
