I am a self-proclaimed animal activist and animal lover. I want to try and reduce the negative stereotype associated with rats. Yes, rats can spread disease and live on the streets and in sewers, but that is our fault for destroying their natural habitat. They are just trying to survive, like everyone else. But a healthy rat with vaccines can create a bond with its owner and be a wonderful, and amazing pet. But, as all pets should be, rats should be handled with care and patience.

If you put in the effort to build a relationship with your rat, it will be a rewarding experience for both of you.
