Those Banana Republics: My Heraldry Project Combines Countries With Fruits
Have you ever been to Mangolia, Banangladesh, Figland? Or Morrocoli, Sierra Lemone, Leektenstein?
Sometimes changing just a few letters in the country’s name changes it into a fruit. “Those Banana Republics” is a super fun daily project and a nice heraldry exercise for me (a flag a day keeps the doctor away). On the deeper level this project deals with our ignorance about certain parts of the world.
