Take A Look Inside This Luxurious $17.5M Nuclear Bunker Which Can Withstand A 20-Kiloton Nuclear Blast
Let’s be honest, the future of mankind is looking pretty shaky at the moment. Talk of war dominates the news on a daily basis, and nuclear fallout seems inevitable if the US and North Korea keep flexing their muscles. But don’t worry, because while most of humanity will surely perish in the ensuring fallout of nuclear war, you’ll be safe and sound in your very own luxury nuclear bunker 45ft below the ground in Savannah, Georgia.
Well, if you’ve got $17.5M to spare that is, because that’s how much this converted former US army base will set you back. Still, you get quite a lot for your money. Aside from obviously saving your life, the nuclear bunker, which is set in 32 acres of land and covers more than 14,000ft of living space, also comes with 3ft-thick walls, an air intake system, a nurse’s room, decontamination showers, and a CCTV system worth $100,000. Oh, and it can withstand a 20 kiloton nuclear explosion too. Built during the Cold War in 1969, the bunker was fully renovated in 2012 and now contains four spacious apartments that each include a kitchen, a dining area, two bedrooms, a living room, and a bathroom. Better be careful who you choose to live with though, as you might be down there for a very long time…

staff room (・_・) you delusional maniac you think they work for you after the nuclear blast
And then all these people who bought in die off because they have no idea how to cook or do anything for themselves.

I for one plan on surviving the nuclear blast. The rest of you can go up in a puff of smoke but I'm going to enjoy a long slow energy-sapping death of radiation poisoning and cancer. I look forward to seeing what surprising mutations will come along in future generations. Maybe some kind of cognitive enhancement that can rationally predict the consequences of rash actions or maybe lazar eyes! Well too bad you won't be around to see it with me.
I don't think it was intended to endure a direct blast.
Load More Replies...Wow. A high tech cave. I'd rather scoop out my own lungs with a grapefruit spoon than even step in the elevator. Says the claustrophobe.
I can't help but notice a flaw in the diagram (or maybe I just missed it); but there is a workshop, apartments, kitchen, theater, and weapons room but NO food storage or medical supply room...Don't you think food and medicine after a nuclear holocaust would be a little more important than a theater?
So! My bedroom has been coping with 20 kiloton blasts on a regular basis and that's just from the wife
Looks claustrophobic. I'd like an underground bunker with cathedral ceilings.
"A small price to pay for surviving a nuclear war" .... Really 17.5 million seems small to you?? ( lol)
We humans came from cave/underground dwelling, now it seems we're heading back. Ah, the great circle of life.
Gee I saw nothing regarding food supplies and how long you can stay. for instance, what do they do with waste, how about freshwater source, Medical?
I really like that the architect used Minecraft for some of his plans. Anyone that thinks living after a nuclear holocaust is a good thing is either in a virtual world or belives that Jesus will come and save them.
What about power?Must take quite a bit of electricity to power that place up
What do they think will be left ? No thank you I just hang around up here and wait on the lord.
Ahhhh photos of rooms, illustrations of the structure. No photos of the above ground structure, nor the stairs. I assume this is all "plan" and does not actually exist? Hmm a little digging on the ol'internet and I see same this one does not exist, converted bunkers do as do sourced media reports, but not this one

but you know.. instead of building a bunker assuming there will be a war, why don't they just stop their stupid conflict and live a decent life! ( #^ u ^# )
It was almost perfect but there's no like steam punk wardrobe for all those madmax outfits
So....How do we filter radiation out of the air we breath???
