So one day an Icelandic artist Ragnheiður Ösp Sigurðardóttir, or Umemi, decided to play…with scout’s knots! She experimented with changing the size and materials of these well known objects and found an entirely new (and surprisingly cozy!) form for another common household item – a pillow.

Since then she has come up with the Notknot and its smaller sibling the Maybeknot. They are knit from Iceland wool and hand-knotted.

What a funky way to add color and fluffiness to your space without going traditional; and who said pillows are allowed to have maximum four corners?
