My name is Lauren Bath and I am a full time instagrammer working full time in the tourism industry. I’ve just flown home after a whirlwind 5 nights photographing Sydney’s annual Vivid festival of lights. The entire city is transformed into a wonderland of light, fun and creativity, even the bars come on board with themed cocktails!
It’s so easy to be inspired over Vivid and the photography comes so easy to me every year. I create images because I love to share my passion for travel. To me it’s not about one image telling a story, rather a series of images sharing lot’s of moments. I like to think that my photography is approachable.
The Opera House Shines
The only thing that can make the Opera House even more photogenic is the colors of Vivid!
This vantage point is a bit of a photographers secret in Sydney, I love the Opera house peeking out.
Best View In The House
Sydney ferries light up the harbor with lights changing according to what quadrant the ferry boat is in.
Colors Upon Colors
See if you can find mission control so that you can control the colors on the city!
You can’t beat the views from Observatory Hill, this is a classic Sydney composition.
The View From The Top
Sydney Bridge Climb is stealing the show with night time climbs and views like this!
I have to say my favorite color scheme was definitely purple.
I love those rays poking out behind the city, they’re coming from the Star and they look even better close up.
100’s And 1000’s Cocktail, Novotel Darling Harbour
The Novotel Darling Harbour is a great stop after catching the half hourly laser show, order the Vivid cocktail!
Head to Blue’s Point if you want to catch the lights on both the bridge and the Opera House.
