15-Year-Old Who Was Gang Raped By Bullies Left This Heartbreaking Letter Before Committing Suicide
A 15-year-old schoolgirl committed suicide after being bullied and gang raped when she was just 13. Before taking her own life however, Cassidy Trevan of Melbourne, Australia wrote this powerful and heartbreaking suicide note as a warning to other students at her school.
“My name is Cassidy Trevan, and I was raped,” reads the letter. “I was a student at (school name omitted) and I was raped by some of the students who still attend that school. My aim is to warn other people (students mostly but also parents) about what happened because I’m worried if they could do it to me they could do it to other kids like me, or at least try to. If anyone every tries this on you trust me it’s worth fighting! Fight! If you don’t you’ll regret it for the rest of your life like I do. You can do it. Be careful. Be warned. Be safe.”
The gang rape was reported to Dandenong police, but Cassidy never made a formal statement as she was scared that the bullies would retaliate. Despite Linda and her daughter meeting with the police more than 20 times over a two-year period, the case was eventually dropped due to lack of evidence.
Cassidy’s unfinished letter, which you can see below, was found on her computer by her mom, Linda. She shared it with 9 News and also took to Facebook to share her daughter’s tragic story. “BULLYING KILLED MY CHILD,” it reads. “I had to watch my baby suffer for the next 22 months from these demons … she worried you would find her and get her again, she went through continued bullying from some of you who managed to get to her by phone or social media, via others, even after what you’d done to her. She suffered flash backs of the crime, nightmares, insomnia, separation anxiety, panic attacks, PTSD and subsequent worsening mental illness. I’m not a mean, angry, or vindictive person … but what you kids did … I hope you never forgive yourselves and never forget the name Cassidy Trevan. You all have blood on your hands for as long as you live.”

I agree it's murder. But no punishment will ever bring her, and other people like her, back to life. And yet, they certainly shouldn't just go on, as nothing happened. I'm not a violent person, but sometimes it really feels like there's no other way than a hard slap on one's face to make them realise what they've done.

I will like to think that I would be the better person but I have to agree with you. They will suffer my wrath to the latest extend of comprehension and I will make no apologies. My heart bleeds for this mother and that poor girl

I hope an independent party investigates and if need be the mother sue them so they are on notice to take these children seriously and do their jobs. Those who hurt her also need to be held accountable as well as the school. I hope this family find some closure and peace.
Sadly the young girl went to police but could never go through with a formal statement it was too painful for her, sad as these scum kids get to have a life after what they did to her.
Load More Replies...The worst is that they may not even care. The bullies, I mean. Words are not efficient to get into their brains. I mean, when you hear bully kids jokingly telling the bullied/picked on kid things like "buy yourself a gun and kill yourself"... Yeah, I was literally told so once, and I immagined what would happen if I did just that, just there, just then - at that very moment, right before their eyes. Would it make them think, would it make them laugh?
What a beautiful girl! I can't believe kids these days retaliate to such measures to bully someone. In my day's it was just name-calling and pulling hair. F*****g hell! May be it's not very nice, but to all who are guilty (the bully jealous girl, the rapists, the online bullies)- I wish you to NEVER have happiness in your f*****g lives! F**K YOU!
My step dad was beat for being disabled in the 1940s. The teacher just told him to toughen up. There have always been bullies. But, social media never lets anyone forget 😪

Its actually pretty common, I was forced to drop out of my school because of the same situation. They don't do anything.

These little shits now a days are just ruthless and cruel. It needs to be a law that schools have a mandatory class for teens to attend each year from middle school THROUGH high school that teaches them (by a psychologist) how detrimental and wrong bullying can be. This must be done since parents are not doing their job to teach their rotten little kids not to bully others. I had to dramatically alter my life because my son's school did NOTHING to help him when he was being bullied in middle school. He couldn't take it anymore, so I pulled him out and have home schooled him ever since. He is happy and healthy but has missed out on so many experiences because of bullying. God bless that woman and my heart and condolences go out to her. RIP sweet girl! 💔
Schools/teacher rarely do anything. I've been bullied alot too. 1 teacher did know I had issues so she send me to the school therapist and she had a talk about bullying with the class... Didn't help at all and only made it worse. She was the only teacher that cared and tried though. Other teacher would scold me because I insulted the boy who hit me in the head with his full backpack (for which he didn't get any punishment)... In another school someone was bullying my friend so I stood up for her and insulted him. When he tried to hit me, a janitor stepped in, sent us to the principal, he went to hear the guy's side of the story and came back to us "uh you shouldn't be using such racial insults." (Maybe I shouldn't but I was pissed at the time because the guy had been picking on my friend for weeks). So sadly enough, there rarely is any punishment for bullies and the victims won't (or rarely) get help...
