Senior Editor In Vilnius

We are looking for a bored and ambitious panda who eats internet trends for breakfast. If Tumblr, Instagram, Reddit and Facebook is your second home – Bored Panda is the place for you. You will be scouring the internet for viral stories and become a trendsetter yourself. Our fast growing audience of 40 million unique monthly visitors are waiting for new content, and you can be the one who cures their boredom!

As senior editor you will be managing a team of copywriters and image editors by performing these tasks:
-You will search the internet for viral stories, and create interesting listicle ideas;
-You will help copywriters find the best angles for each story and propose engaging titles;
-You will be responsible for good storytelling, which includes helping others to put images in the best possible order and add best headings;
-You will have to double-check the facts and offer insights how to improve each story;
-You will have to pick the best Facebook cover image once an article is ready;
What is required:
-Significant experience working for a professional news organization or large website
-Outstanding people management and organisation skills
-A genuine love for Bored Panda’s content
What would be a big plus:
-Native-like writing ability: you may be expected to write posts
-Expert Photoshop knowledge and/or possibility to quickly learn
Salary:
2,000 – 3,000 EUR after taxes
