Filip Hodas, AKA Hoodass, is a freelance 3D artist from Prague, Czech Republic, who does surreal and mind-bending renderings that are truly out of this world. But none of his work is as captivating as this series of decaying pop culture icons that provides us with a creepy glimpse into an alternative dystopian future. From a burnt out Pac Man and a defunct Hello Kitty to a litchen-covered Bender and a Martian Playstation space station, the artist uses well-known video games, fast food brands, cartoons characters and other recognizable imagery to litter the landscape of his pop culture apocalypse, providing us with a conflicting sense of nostalgia and foreboding. Which one is your favorite? Let us know in the comments below.

What makes these particularly effective (disturbing too!) is that they are still lit up. The power is still on!!
I could also see maybe Portal 2 when at the deepest levels of Aperture Science.

After the Greening of Tatooine, still - out in the now-verdant wilderness - occasional defunct podracers could be found.
They tried and tried to fix Pac man and had to just give up when the ghost started coming.
This is the image that really got to me...the blocks no longer make sense...just like the world we live in now.
this is what Stonehenge would be like to the future generations if we had built it now and not then
She watches. She waits. Who dares cross the fence? What joy or terror lurks within?
It probably still works correctly, as far as I know Nintendo products
The screen's a swimming pool! It would be fun to swim in if it weren't polluted by the end of time.
You swim in it until the gods start to play tetris and then you get electrocuted.

It may just inspire a diorama being created and is quite possible given enough skill and effort.
This isn't apocalyptic, the new habitats on Mars seem to be in perfectly good working order as far as I can see. Everyone's indoors - the lights are on. I think I see the shadow of some kid playing in the window!
The Rover is coming in from a high mountain and took this picture of the stations while the storm was just settling down.

If you are reading this, this idea is probably months old. I am a fourteen year old boy who comes up with ideas and digitally designs them. I want to work with you to see if we can make a deal with a movie producer to turn your apocalyptic drawings into a pop culture horror movie. It seems far fetched, but imagine being able to create a movie for millions to see. Contact me at 2694050525
there are more images like the no face, mickey mouse, sponge bob, poke balls, storm troopers and UFO one. The plot could be the world went mad for the pop culture, the icons getting more popular. Soon, they begin to worship them as gods and make monuments of them. But something goes wrong, and they go rogue, sending the whole globe into a panic. Groups of people are sent out on a space ship until the are forced to come back. The world is a graveyard of these once beloved creatures. Only the robotic monuments remain. As the the people explore, they find they are not alone. The monuments may be still active. And there is something living inside of them, something that looks exactly like the giants that were praised, all those years ago...
Load More Replies...Kinda reminds me of the space ship that crashes that those kids lived in.....I think the show was called "100" maybe??
And the gnomes shall inherit the earth. And they will make houses out of happy meal boxes, and live in peace.

very nice postapocalyptic feel. They are really wel integrated into the environment.
I don't really know why, but I'm getting shivers from these...
I am in awe. These are extraordinary works of art on so many levels. Just the *technical* competence astounds me, let alone the social commentary.
