It is part of the artistic commentary called “People GO” by Polish artist – Monika Szpener.
The project is inspired by the popular application – Pokemon GO. The game in no time has gained millions of followers around the world, effectively shaping their daily behavior and their use of urban space. Players keep traversing it, willy-nilly, in search of these virtual creatures. The world of politics is a clear analogy of the Pokemon GO game. It would seem that the virtual reality applications and politics are distant worlds, but the same mechanisms can be observed in both.
People GO Project is a humorous reversal of roles, which aims at commenting on the contemporary cultural transformation.
