Sculpture art is often seen as very serious, grand, and glorious, especially when depicting some war general or famous person. That seriousness almost always obligates us to stand graciously and composed in front of every famous sculpture. Now, if anyone tells you that posing for pictures near a statue is dull because of the need to keep your manners, it's only because they don't know how to do proper photo poses. The beautiful sculptures are alive, and you only need to turn on your imagination to see that. To illustrate what we mean, we have collected this list of funny photos showing how creative people can be while having fun. There's quite a story to this. The statue is in Niigata City, Japan, and celebrates the character Taro Yamada from popular manga comic "Dokaben" created by Niigata native artist Shinji Mizushima. The fad of doing these photos was started by Shinya Nishimura, creative director of the free newspaper Okinawa Bishojo Zukan. She also could have filled the gap by laying her hands on the shoulders of the child behind her and then align her shoulders so that the last child would grab her shoulders...if I were the artist behind this I would have planned it like that.

I know this sculpture....it's in Victoria, BC Canada. It's a dad who has come back from war and he is kneeling with his arms open to welcome his daughter who is running to greet him. I feel that girl is desecrating the beauty of this. Esp. since tomorrow is Remembrance Day......but really anytime....some things should be cherished....

I know this statue, too. It's in downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Now this one I've always thought a little weird.....portraying old, fat white guys as those who walk out of offices in the downtown area.....isn't that racist or something?

I think the statue is of a boy and his mother, rather than a boy and his sister. The lady on the right looks significantly older than him. So it looks like the blonde girl is telling them both off, which doesn't make sense.
