Recently, William Trice Battle and his wife Lauren welcomed a beautiful boy into this world. They named him Roman Creed and began raising the little fella.

“My life has been infused with a new purpose,” William told Bored Panda. “Every day that he grows, my love for Lauren grows as well. One of the greatest things I can do for him is to love his mother with everything I have.”

One of the ways William expressed his immense love for his wife was writing an open letter to Roman. In it, the man described in detail all of the thoughts and emotions that run through his mind and heart every time he thinks of his mom. Hoping that one day Roman will be able to understand him, William did such an excellent job of putting everything into words, reading them might just help us grasp the complex feelings we have for our loved ones as well.

However, even though the open letter is addressed to his son, William admitted that he wrote it for his wife, Lauren. “She feels the most loved through affirming words and so I try to not only tell her in person, but to write things that are truly meaningful to her. Sometimes I like to share them with others like this one,” he explained.

Maintaining a marriage to its fullest when a baby joins the family takes a lot of time and energy. Which is not exactly what parents have at the time. However, it’s vital that a couple remains a couple, and it looks like William and Lauren are going to be perfectly fine. “Both husbands and wives need to remember that without each other, their children wouldn’t exist,” the man explained.

“They owe it to each other to make sure that when they love on their children, they remember that the child represents the most beautiful possible result of their love. Therefore, their love shouldn’t die when their children are born, but instead, grow. Their children are a reminder to each other of their love for one another.”

We're lucky to have women let share this experiences with us. It's a miracle, a painful and difficult one, but a miracle at last. To share that bond is the most amazing thing one can live. And I'm so grateful and so lucky to have my wife and two healthy kids. They're goddesses. And we must give them the credit they deserve. Hugs to all mothers!!

I'm blessed. My husband tells our daughters this all the time. He cooks. He cleans. He's been a soccer coach, a Girl Scout troop leader, does the soccer mom runs... he's EVERYTHING to his girls. Especially this one. He adores us, but the feeling is mutual and I don't take it for granted.
