    Nice post!

You forgot: http://scania.com/ Scania means Skåne in latin, a province in southern Sweden. Scania was first named Scania-VABIS after a merger between the two companies. VABIS meaning Vagnaktiebolaget i Södertälje; Wagon company in Södertälje (where Scania has its head office now).

Nokia is a small, black ferret (Noki = soot in Finnish) the first papermill was built on and got it’s power as welll as it’s name from the river Nokianvirta (stream of nokia). Later, the town formed close to the factory. So the town is named after the company, not the other way around ;o)
